ABOUT PSYCHO EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY
Renowned Prof.(Dr) T.R.Paliwal (Late), Principal, of a college under Kanpur University, U.P had a long time desire to establish an NGO to meet education and health care needs of less privileged rural children and women. Hence immediately after retiring from the noble profession he took up the task of serving the society. With financial and moral support from his family members and like-minded close friends and relatives he established “ PSYCHO EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY” in the year 1982.
The prime objectives of the society are:
to uplift the rural less privileged children by providing basic education
to create awareness among the illiterate women on family welfare, health education and personal hygiene.
MISSION
Formal & informal education to rural population on health and education.
PES renders its services for well being of lower strata of the society by
Educating the illiterate women in preventive health care measures
Imparting skills to youth and women for self employment.
Offering psychological services for emotionally disturbed children and adult.
Counseling and training parents on children care.
Organizing awareness programs on family welfare and health care. |

THE GENERAL BODY
The general body of the society elects the governing body once in three year. The governing body as per guidelines of the society's MOA frames the policies and monitors functioning of the society. It sanctions annual financial budget. The chartered accountant appointed by the general body audits the annual revenue & expense account and balance Sheet of the society.
The P.S.E has the written constitution article & memorandum of the association registered with registrar of societies Delhi.The minimum members of Governing body are 7 and maximum 11. Chaiman (1), Secretary (1), Treasurer (1), member 4 to 8. General body elects the Governing body. Quorum for meeting is minimum 1/3 members Governing body members by rotation.The Secretary and treasuser are the permanent life long members of the govering body and the balance members for the govering body are elected every 3 yearsand are by rotation.

SOURCES OF FUNDING
All the donations received are deposited in the bank A/C of the society. After the expenses the balance funds are transferred to corpus funds A/C of the society. The general body & Governing body members work for the society in honorary capacity. They do not draw salary in any form and do not claim reimbursement of expenses incurred for society's work.
The society arranges finances from institutions, organizations and individuals for its operational expenses. PES is appearing on the website of Give India. The donations are exempted under Income tax act. The Society is also accredited with Give World Foundation of USA and is on the website of Give Foundation.
